What Navavarana means
Nava means nine, and avarana refers to an enclosure. Navavarana Pujan honours the Divine Mother through the nine enclosures of Shri Chakra and their associated deities. It brings the sacred diagram, names, offerings, and contemplation into a connected act of worship, held within a living tradition of instruction.
From the boundary towards the centre
The movement through the Shri Chakra gives an inward direction to the worshipper’s attention. Its successive forms culminate in the central bindu. This can be contemplated as gathering a scattered mind into a clear relationship with the Mother, while the precise meaning of each enclosure is learned through study.
Meaning and method together
A puja becomes easier to understand when its language is explained. Invocation expresses welcome; offerings express reverence; concluding prayer expresses gratitude and dedication. In detailed worship these elements take a particular traditional form. Understanding their purpose helps participation become attentive, even while the full procedure is still being learned.
A path learned with guidance
The form of Navavarana Pujan follows the Guru’s teaching and the disciple’s preparation. Learning may include pronunciation, recognition of the enclosures, and the meaning of the offerings. Consistent attention to these foundations supports a thoughtful practice. Questions arising in study can be brought to Guru with clarity and sincerity.
