Shodashi & advanced guidance

Shodashi is approached with reverence for Lalita Tripurasundari and the depth of Shri Vidya transmission. Progression is guided personally by the Guru.

The fullness of the Mother

The name Shodashi carries the sense of sixteen and fullness. It is used in the worship of Tripurasundari and in distinct mantra traditions. Understanding its context requires attention to whether a text is speaking of the deity’s form, the mantra, or a specific lineage’s practice.

02

Maturity in sadhana

Advanced learning asks for depth in the practice already received. The quality of attention, understanding of instruction, and steadiness of conduct are meaningful aspects of a disciple’s preparation. Guru guidance helps the seeker place further learning in a coherent spiritual life.

03

Maha Shodashi

Maha Shodashi is reserved here for highly advanced disciples, according to Guru guidance. Any discussion of this transmission takes place personally with Yogini Brahmanshi, in the context of the disciple’s preparation, prior instruction, and sustained practice.

04

A clear next step

When writing for guidance, describe the practice you have actually received and the doubts you wish to clarify. This gives the Guru a useful starting point. The purpose of further initiation is served by applying each instruction with understanding and allowing time for it to become settled.
